Description

T. Wilson of London, quality mahogany Victorian Period antique pedestal desk. The rectangular figured mahogany top with rounded corner having an inset tan leather hide writing surface with gilt and blind tooling. Having an arrangement of nine rectangular figured mahogany drawers with brass ring pull handles and solid mahogany drawer linings. Having a panelled reverse, solid mahogany sides and plinth with inset castors. English circa 1860-1880. Stamped to the drawer T. Wilson, Great Queen Street, London, fine quality cabinet makers and retailers in the 19th Century.

Dimensions: 48" wide x 30" deep x 31" high (knee hole 24" high x 21" wide)

Condition: This desk is in excellent condition, a lovely colour and patination throughout. Would have originally had wooden knobs, the brass ring pulls are a later addition. One old repair to one of the rear panels.
