Each step is covered in old carpet for extra grip and extra character!
It transforms easily in one movement from chair to steps. There is a small metal latch on the side which holds it in place as a seat.
It is in good original condition with a nice patina. The joints are strong and the whole piece is sturdy. There are some small knocks and minor marks and signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. The hinges have been replaced and the surrounding wood repaired at some point but overall it displays very well and has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
