Antique 19thc Treen Rosewood Combined Sealing Fluted Ruler With Holder. English C1840-50.

A rare survival from the past is this 19thc Rosewood Ruler / Sealing Wax Holder complete with its own turned ''cup'' finial for holding a small candle and on the opposite end is a wafer signet for sealing the letter....the sealing wax is kept inside the cavity of the ruler....for a similar example see Edward Pinto''s book on Treen plate 267 K .....it is in very good condition with a nice colour.
