Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The condition of the wood & the original cane work is excellent too.
These armchairs have carved scroll end arms, plus some fine carvings down below the arms, on the legs & in the middle of the bottom rails. They sit on well defined claw & ball feet.
The wood as always with Satin Birch has that lovely silky light & dark colouration. They have lots of character & generous proportions. I would date them to around the 1920-30’s period.
