The weaver has used a beautiful selection of vegetable colours including deep indigo-blue and a gorgeous green. Four powerful Jaf 'guls' (tribal crests) dominate the central field with double-headed sunbirds in the lower elem or skirt. A truly magnificent example of 19th century Kurdish weaving at its best.
