A Large Georgian Mahogany And Parcel-gilt Wall Mirror

A mahogany, fret-cut, outline Georgian pier mirror. Original plate with bevelled edge has the lovely soft look of a period mirror whilst still being perfectly functional. Carved and gilt bird, along with an inlaid shell, original gilt slip combine with an elegant silhouette. Made around 1820.
