Pinefinders has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
A slightly pitchy pine, with lots of knots and character. It will look lovely once wax polished - showing its warm colour tone.
The cornice, sides and bottom are all curved, making this a very attractive piece. It alos has panelled double doors with a diamond shape indentation. The original lock and key are in good working order. The door's external hinges allow them to open fully.
The fitting of a new brass hanging rail, is included in the price, or if you prefer: a shelf at the top and the rail below.
Currently in bare wood having recently been stripped. Can be purchased as it is for £1025, or waxed for £1125.
