Arrowsmith Antiques & Interiors has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The mirror hangs on a pair of vase turned tapering reeded columns with carved leaf design finishing at the top with rope twist and reeded turned finials.

The arched top mirror is cross banded in mahogany with an ebony string inlay to the corner edge and moves on a pivot action so the angle can be adjusted. It retains its original mirror plate that is in very good condition with some slight wear consistent with age.
The cheval mirror dismantles into four separate sections for ease of transport.
