Antique Late Victorian Burr Walnut Glazed Cabinet Bookcase C1890

Antique Late Victorian Burr Walnut Glazed +ambient Bookcase and dating from around 1890. Constructed from quality walnut it has a bobbin turned rail with central walnut panel and turned finials to each end over a moulded stepped and flared cornice above a carved cushioned frieze . There is a single leaded glazed door with brass escutcheon and working key and with two fully adjustable internal shelves. To each side is a Classical style column. The base has a burr walnut top with crossbanded and moulded edge over a single carved and cushion Fronted drawer which is pine lined with brass handle . There are two doors with burr walnut panels set within a moulded edge and with a single internal shelf . To each side of the doors is a Classical column. It is raised on bun feet and the top removes for ease of transporting.

MEASURES: 83” HIGH X 17.5” DEEP X 35” WIDE AND INTERNAL DEPTH TOP IS 9.5”

With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
