Victorian Silver Snuff Box 1900

Description

This unusual quality VICTORIAN SILVER SNUFF BOX was made by the well-known and sought after silversmith Henry Matthews in 1900.

Of oval lobed form, this lovely Silver Snuff Box has a beautifully embossed lid and retains the original gilt coating to the interior.

In excellent condition and free from any added monograms, initials etc. this superb Silver Snuff Box would enhance any collection or could be used as a trinket box to store rings etc.

Condition:

Used / Excellent

There are no repairs.

One or two very minor dinks to the body – nothing much but mentioned for accuracy.

Dimensions:

Length – 2.5” (63mm) / Width – 1.75” (44mm) / Height – 0.875” (22mm)

Weight – 32.5gm / 1.05ozt
