Description

Elegant pair of George III mahogany side tables c.1800. Bow front tables with solid mahogany tops of particularly good colour and grain with reeded edges. Over an apron with inlaid boxwood stringing to the edge and raised on tapering square legs in solid mahogany. Ideal as a pair of console tables or can be pushed together to make a square table for four. Or with the addition of the original extra leaf resting the hinged legs at the rear of one of the tables and locked together with brass clips, it makes a small dining table for eight people (length 74"). Excellent original colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
