Regency Painted Rush Seated Armchair Faux Bamboo

Description

A very pretty painted Regency armchair, circa 1820, the open back with a stencilled top-rail and central x shape splat, the curved sides of a similar design, the rush seat over an x shape front stretcher and side stretchers. With custom made traditionally upholstered & buttoned fitted swab seat cushion in a pale green linen.

The paintwork is mainly original with some touching up, the seat has been re-rushed (not recently) and is very sturdy.
