Boxwood Bird Call Song Whistle Small Recorder Flute Improved Crown Mark

English boxwood one piece tiny recorder, circa 1820,
 
Marked with numbers and notes, a crown and IMPROVED, probably to make bird song.
 
The opening at the foot is curved and conical and when fingered can produce fine controled slurring of the notes.
 
Length 3,7/16'' or 88mm.
 
A small chip the the mouthpiece rim otherwise in very good sound condition with no splits.
 
A complete instrument not part of anything larger.
