Description

A late 19thC carved oak spindle back rocking chair made in the Arts & Crafts manner, in the late Victorian era. It is a substantial piece with a spindle back, surmounted by a lattice grid panel and a further arched panel inset with a carved foliate design. The arms are also supported by a lattice grid. The end of the arms and tops of the back frame are embellished with substantial knobs, giving the chair real substance. The seat is upholstered in an embroidered woven fabric. In excellent condition, the chair is comfortable and is a stunning piece.

The depth of 85cm is from front to back of rockers.
