Description

A stunning pair of late Regency/William IV cut lead crystal decanters with their original stoppers. Each decanter and its stopper is etched on the top rim and stopper neck with a matching number, 12 on one and 26 on the other, indicating that this pair once belonged to a significantly large set of glassware. The etched marks will have been added when the decanters were made.

The decanters have matching designs with ringed neck, cut shoulder, diamond cut waist and at the base a cut flute and arch pattern. The stoppers are especially fine with star cut top and vertical cut rim. This gives a good hand grip on the stopper. Both decanters and stoppers are in perfect condition, remarkable for their age.
