Large Turned Lignum Vitae String Holder Dispenser Barrel Treen Near Pair

Description

Near pair of early Victorian lignum vitae string barrels, extra large and of unusual form.

The taller is 6,3/4" or 170mm tall, 1422 grams.

The shorter is 5,15/16" or 150mm diameter, 1237 grams.

The unusual capstan shaped containers with thick mahogany bayonet fitting base covers.

Typical insignificant shrinkage hairlines, both in excellent sound condition with no damage or repair.

These are big and impressive, a good 25% larger than the more standard models.
