English Sterling Silver Jewelry or Trinket Box - Birmingham 1915

Description

A wonderful rectangular jewellery or ring box, a beautiful shape and standing on four delightful silver cabriole legs.

The domed lid is domed and decorated around the edge with a ribbon and reed design and sets of horizontal engine turned lines across the top; in the centre is a circular vacant cartouche which could be engraved if desired.

The interior is in lovely clean condition. The side is where the English silver hallmark can be found for Birmingham 1915 (95 years old) together with the makers mark for the Birmingham silversmith Charles S Green & Co.

Excellent condition, measuring 4" x 3" x 1 1/2" tall.
