Laszlo Pal Neogrady was born in Budapest, Hungary on 2 April, 1896 to the artist Antal Neogrady (1861-1942) and Telepy Margit. He attended the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts and studied under Ede Ballo.
He was married to Keleti Magdolna and together they lived in Budapest. Neogrady was a keen skier and enjoyed being outdoors. He specialised in painting woodland landscapes and streams as well as mountains, usually in winter.
He exhibited at the Hungarian Art Gallery from 1922. He was awarded the Karoly Horvath Prize for his lifework. He died in Budapest on 27 August 1962.
His paintings can be found in the National Museum of Hungary, Budapest, Iowa State University, and the Ames Museum.
Presentation: The painting is housed in a new, English made gilt frame which is in excellent condition.
Condition: As with all of our original antique oil paintings, this work is offered in ready to hang gallery condition, having just been professionally cleaned, restored and revarnished.
