Description

Stylish Hand Painted Chinese or Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Heavy Gauge Gilt Bronze Two Section Table Casket or Spice Container of Hexagonal Outline and of exceptional quality. Circa first half of the Twentieth Century, these rare pieces can be difficult to date.
The outer body finely hand decorated on all panels depicting flowers and foliage amongst scrolling gilt decoration, on an Emerald green ground, inside areas with kingfisher blue enamel. These pieces are typically unmarked.
Height: (entire) 4” (10cm). Width: 3.25" (8cm). Depth: 2.75” (7cm).
Condition: Superb condition with no imperfections, possibly never used. Back and front views are similar.
Location: Dublin City, Ireland.
