Tall Wrought Mirror & Marble Top Console Table C.1930.

1920 - 1940
Description

Very elegant painted and gilded wrought iron console table and mirror c.1930. 35" x 45" mirror plate with a shaped top within a slim wrought iron frame. Over a well figured marble top console with two legs swept back toward the wall. Fine decorative detail to the pediment above the mirror and on the apron below the marble with beautiful scroll work and applied acanthus leaves, continued on the legs. Original pale green grey paint work with decorative elements picked out in a lovely mellow gilt with dark red ground. Very small (2cm) crack in the top right corner of the mirror, otherwise excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
