Antique Solid Silver Bachelor's Tea Set

1900 - 1920
Description

A fine example of an antique Bachelor's tea set consisting of a tea pot, milk jug and sugar bowl. They are a small size, designed for Tea for One. It is a stylish set with an elegant shape, round circular feet and ebonised handles on the teapot. There is a hook on the sugar bowl which would enable tongs to be hung over.

It is excellent quality with a combined weight of 457g with the handles. Each piece is fully hallmarked for Henry Wigfull, Sheffield, 1908.

The whole set is in very good condition. There are some faint surface marks and a few light scratches and some small dents and dinks (one on the foot of the milk jug and one on the teapot lid) but nothing detrimental and overall the set displays very well. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.
