Description

A lovely pine storage cupboard dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. It originates from Switzerland and has a traditional curved plinth around the top and bottom with two panelled doors, both with traditional geometric carving. It has a shelved interior with 3 pine shelves. The shelves are more modern than the cupboard and have been put in at some time recently. The shelves could be removed, or more added or it could also be converted to a small wardrobe with a hanging bar. There are small holes cut into the back of the shelves and also at the bottom of the cupboard which would have most likely accomodated the wires from a TV or other electrical device.

It is in good condition for its age and comes with a working key. It has been cleaned and has a smooth waxed finish, retaining its lovely aged patina. There have been some repairs over the years and there are signs of age and use, some general small knocks and marks but nothing detrimental and it is ready for use.
