Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The box retains it's six original smaller sized cut crystal decanters each with a pourer and each with it's original dome topped stopper, each engraved with the initials of what they would have contained: W = Whiskey; S = Sherry; G = Gin; B = Bourbon; IV = Italian Vermouth; FV = French Vermouth. The shoulders of each decanter are beautifully cut and each with a star cut on the underside.
The lock is not working but I have found a key and added a tassle which is nice for display purposes.
Superb condition (on bruise on back of box, insignificant but mentioned for accuracy) with each decanter in perfect shape. 9 1/2" x 8" x 7" with each decanter measuring 2 1/2" square x 6 1/2" tall to top of stopper.
