Description

This is one of the very best Qashqa'i tribal rugs I've had for a while. The natural colours are just magnificent - particularly the amazing amount of sky-blue - not often seen in such quantities on Qashqa'i weavings. Made around 1880 in Fars Province, south-west Persia, the rug is in excellent condition with full pile. Look closely and you will see stylised turkeys, peacocks and birds.

This is a fantastic example of the very best of Qashqa'i tribal work.
