Early 19th Century Oak Secretaire Tallboy Chest on Chest

A well presented early 19th century oak two stage secretaire tall boy or chest on chest with an arrangement of two short over three long drawers flanked by quarter pilasters to the top section and three long drawers to the bottom. The bottom drawer of the top section has a fitted interior with six smaller drawers and central cupboard compartment. The drawer front drops down to create a working space.

CONDITION REPORT:

Our carpenter inspects, repairs and restores all our items, so you can have full confidence that what you buy from us is home ready!

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. Some surface wear in places and full length splits to either side. Evidence of old historic wood worm to the back, this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Some minor losses to the edges and corners of the drawers but overall a good quality secretaire tallboy.
