Gatsby Jewellery Ltd has dated this piece to the 1950s.
This most impressive of stones is secured in a four claw setting with scroll detailing in the gallery. A line of five calibré cut sapphires are set in each shoulder, bisecting six round brilliant cut diamonds arranged in a step-down formation. Utterly exceptional.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire with calibré cut sapphire and round brilliant cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are G to H.
Clarity – The sapphire is SI. The diamonds are VS2 to SI1.
Carat – The centre sapphire is a known 14.19 carat. With a further approximate 0.30 carat of sapphires and 0.24 carat of diamonds in the shoulders.

Circa – 1955.
Size – O 1/2 (UK) or 7.25 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 14.26 x 12.23mm and sits 7.8mm from the finger.
Metal – 9k white gold. Tested.
