Antique Swedish Carved Oak Secretaire Chest

Description

Very impressive antique Swedish secretaire chest dating from around the Gustavian 1860’s period & in a lovely golden oak.

It’s beautifully carved all around the top & across the concealed top drawer. The front comes down as a writing surface & inside there is a spectacular arrangements of drawers & cupboards. The three drawers below have carved oak escutcheons & all the drawers have fine dovetails. There are some more excellent carvings all along the base section & the shaped feet are also carved.

This Secretaire Chest has a wonderful colour & is in really good original condition. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate the quality of the carvings & the other fine features.
