Description

Very handsome late 19th.c. oak desk or writing table c.1880. 50" x 28" top with original tooled leather writing surface and superb acanthus carved edge, continued on the sides and rear. Over two oak lined drawers, each fitted with dividers (could be removed if preferred). Raised on tapering pedestal ends with exceptionally well carved corbels at the top and bottom, also repeated on the rear. Joined with a high stretcher (also carved) and raised on plinth bases with original brass castors hidden below. Some very minor wear but gereally excellent colour and condition. Cleaned and polished in our workshops. Keys supplied.
