Description

Fabulous pair of late 19th.c. French brass mounted marble urn garnitures or cassolettes c.1890. Classical baluster form bodies in white marble with grey veining on square plinth bases. With extensive and original gilded brass mounts cast as goat or ram’s heads, and floral garlands with flame torch finials and a leaf detail above the stems. A few minor chips to the corners of the bases, otherwise excellent condition.
