The tankard with an outswept and banded rim, surrounding hanging icicles, within a scallop border.
The tankard sweeping into a waisted socle, spreading to a stepped circular foot, the tankard with a scrolled handle, topped with a scrolled thumb grip. The interior silver gilted.
Hallmarked for Richard Bayley, London 1748.
