Description

Fabulous Oriental, probably Chinese, carved hardwood group of a fisherman and two children with a catch of fish roped to the fisherman’s and children’s hands and tied to his bamboo staff, with his straw hat. The people and fish have tiny glass eyes. The carving is detailed and expressive, capturing the group in an active and dynamic pose. Excellent condition, no damage.
