The box is created from a variety of woods, worked into a highly decorative geometric tapestry with a cartouche made from Ivory and inlaid to the centre of the lid; the four bun feet and escutcheon also created from creamy Ivory.
All the little bits and pieces you see are included with the box, the dip pen, inkwell, sealing wax, a couple of period visiting cards, nibs etc.
A beautiful heirloom box in excellent condition complete with working key; measuring 9 1/2" x 7" x 2 3/4" tall.
