The mahogany box with a hinged lift up lid, the lid holding the Morocco leather and gilt plating board, with sides for chess/draughts, the other side of backgammon, and a third folding out for a horse racing game. The body of the box with a two door hinged front, opening to reveal a boxwood and ebony chess set. The central lift out tray holding a draughts set, and a dominoes set, With further marker pegs. The bottom lift out tray holding a set of cards, tiddly wink counters and fiddle sticks. The bottom tray holding four dice shaking beakers and dice.
Complete with the original 'Guide to the Compendium of Games' from 'Feltham & Co, London EC'. With lock and key.
