Large Antique English Brass Watering Can - Art Nouveau - Joseph Sankey

Description

A beautiful and highly decorative Art Nouveau decorated watering can made by the famous Birmingham metalworker, Joseph Sankey & Sons, the impressed signature can be found on the underside together with " Made In England " & " Solid Brass ".

There is a stamped English design registration number, 437339 which dates this piece to 1904, so an Edwardian example when these organic stylized designs were so very popular.

The piece has been professionally re-polished to gleam. Excellent condition (some little dings, and marks to the lid, all totally acceptable and commensurate with age). A stunning decorative piece measuring 11" high to top of handle, 12 1/2" spout to handle and 5 inches wide.
