Gatsby Jewellery Ltd has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The stone is secured in a four claw collet, with the three diamonds in each shoulder arranged in a step-down formation, leading to a slim, white gold D-shaped shank. Would work equally well as a dress ring or a alternative style solitaire engagement ring.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire and eight-cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are H to I.
Clarity – Some inclusions in the sapphire are visible to the naked eye. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The sapphire is a known 3.72 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.06 carat.

Circa – 1940.
Size – P 1/2 (UK) or 7.75 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 9.01 x 7.20mm and sits 6.85mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k white gold. Hallmarked.
