Description

This striking 5 inches tall Victorian silver scent bottle bears the marks of the prolific scent bottle maker Charles May and is dated Birmingham 1897. The fully hallmarked, pull-off, embossed silver lid mounted on a cut glass slim oval body. The colour graduating from a vivid green to clear glass.

Hallmarks:

CM for Charles May.

Lion Passant.

Birmingham Assay Mark

Date letter "x" for 1897.

Dimensions:

Height: 13 cm - 5 inches.

Width at widest: 6 cm - 2.2 inches

Depth: 2cm / 1 inch.

Condition:

Very good.

No dings to silver lid.

Glass body, glass neck and glass stopper in perfect condition.

A fabulous scent bottle.
