Edwardian Mahogany & Inlaid Open Armchair by Thos Turner

1900 - 1920
Description

A good quality antique Edwardian open armchair in mahogany with stringing and inlay dating from circa 1910 by Thomas Turner of Manchester. It has stringing to the arms and legs and back splat with satinwood inlay. With a flat top rail and rail back, it has shaped arm supports and stands on tapered legs culminating in turned feet. A really good quality chair in good condition. Stamped underneath the seat rail: “Thos Turner Manchester”.

Condition Report:

Good condition. Solid and sturdy. Clean upholstery. Because of the way the chair is constructed the arm rests are slightly loose but the seat itself is very solid to sit on.
