For sale probably one of the rarest Military issued aircraft clocks from WW2, this fine and very seldom encountered T & F Mercer RAF Mark1 WW2 aircraft clock for use on Flying Boats, ref no 6A/433 issue no 156/40. The clock looks to be completely original and is in excellent unrestored condition. The Mark1 was for use on Flying Boats only and this example is dated to the early part of WW2 being 1940. If you are a serious collector of WW2 aircraft clocks this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire a rare surviving example. This one on offer is in full working order keeping time. Full issue marking throughout including the Air Ministry mark to the case back. Used on the Supermarine Stranrear and the Short Singapore flying boats, RAF Hendon Museum state that the Mark1 only remained in British service up to 1941 and with approx. 140 only ever ordered.
