Large Art Nouveau Wrought Iron Hat & Coat Hooks C.1880.

Description

Splendid set of large wrought iron hat and coat hooks c.1880. Five large triple hooks of unsusal design, the mushroom-like top and twisting tendrils of the two lower hooks displaying an obvious organic influence typical of the Art Nouveau movement. Mounted onto the original panelled oak backboard (51" x 9") with deep moulded edge. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
