Description

Superb quality four door French Empire style cherrywood bookcase side cabinet c.1920. Two door bookcase centre with arch top glazed doors, fitted with three adjustable shelves (depth 14?). Flanked with blind door cupboards to both sides, also both fitted with adjustable shelves inside. Deep moulded cornice with lobed corners, faux columns with corinthian capitals and a moulded plith, all raised on large carved claw feet. Carved Empire style or Regency decoration to the front with repeated anthemion motifs to the cornice and door fronts (also repeated on the gilded escutcheons and the heads of the keys) and laurel wreaths to the lower panels of the centre doors. Excellent conditon and lovely pale colour, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Completely disassembles for delivery.
