Rare Chamberlains Worcester cabinet cup and saucer, probably painted by Humphrey Chamberlain, Jr (1791-1824).
Painted named square cut corner bird panels on a pale salmon ground decorated with a gilt ''chain mail'' design within a gilt faux pearl beaded outer rim.
Marked in red script Whinchat & Chaffinch.
The scenes are loosely taken from Bewick, Thomas, 1753-1828 ''History of British Birds''.
Marked under ''Chamberlains Worcester '' in red script.
English hand painted porcelain cup and saucer, circa 1815,
All in good sound condition with no repairs, noting short very feint hairline to the cup rim and wear to the gilt.
Height of cup 2,5/8'' or 67mm, diameter of saucer 5,1/4'' or 133mm
