An eye-catching stick stand or umbrella stand in gilt metal with a stepped circular base and a tapering fluted main body with a scalloped top. It has a beautiful finish that''s been left untouched and slightly distressed to show its real age. All of the eight ball finials are present, as is the ropetwist detail to the top edge. It has a weighted, solid cast iron base to provide stability. This elegant and stylish example, with a design nod to the Art Deco movement, is English and it dates from c.1930.
