Art Deco, 1930s period, hallmarked 935, probably Swiss.
Good gauge silver with sophisticated pink and white engine engraved guilloche enamel, leaf engraved border, dark blue cabochon gem opening buttons.
The egg or acorn shaped box with two compartments in the base and one glazed compartment in the lid.
Suspension ring to the top, ring to the base perhaps for a silk tassel.
Original gilt interior throughout.
Silver and enamel in excellent condition with no damage or repair.
Diameter 43mm height 48mm.
An unusual piece reminiscent of the Russian works of Faberge.
