Georgian Mahogany Kettle Stand C.1800.

Description

Small late Georgian mahogany stand or table c.1800. Of a form known as a kettle stand, ideal as a small wine table or stand for a lamp or urn perhaps. 12½" x 11½" top with a decorative inlaid border and a shaped gallery with pierced hand grips and inlaid stringing. Raised on slim tapering legs, also inlaid and splayed for stability. With lovely pierced and shaped brackets where the legs meet the top and crossed stretchers for strength. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
