Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It stands on carved and shaped cabriole legs with shell carving to the knees and scroll feet. It has been recently recovered, solid and sturdy and in good original condition. Would make a wonderful desk chair or bedroom chair. With makers Stamp “G.Jackson” and number stamped to the inside of the leg.

Good original condition. Solid frame. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Recently recovered (horsehair) a few small marks to the fabric otherwise clean.
