A Fabulous Mid Victorian Silver Mounted Hunting Flask in the Original Case

19th century
Description

A fabulous silver and glass hunting flask from the mid Victorian period. This handsome full sized example has a bayonet action lid with an attaching chain. The glass body tapers towards the top and has a multi point star cut base. To the top of the lid is an engraved monogram of M with a coronet above, indicating original ownership by the Aristocracy. Unusually, it retains the original leather case. A rare and sought after gift idea or collector's piece, still usable today. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits and no cracks to the glass. The original leather case has had some minor repair work and some age related wear.
