Corvidae Antique has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Around 1880 many gold treasures dating back to the ancient Etruscan era (700-300 BC) were being discovered in Italian tombs, leading to the emergence of the Etruscan Revival as Victorian jewellers sought to recreate the style. Craftsmen employed considerable skill to make finely detailed pieces using multiple gold working techniques such as granulation and filigree and typically employing high-carat gold and semi-precious stones.

Set with a trio of pyramid-cut turquoises and adorned with gold wirework and tiny gold balls, the earrings are hollow 15-carat gold of a beautiful rich deep high-carat colour, with some rose gold details.

In very good antique condition. One earring has a tiny ding on the reverse (circled on the photo) but we mention this purely for accuracy and it's not visible from the front. The rose gold wires are strong and fix securely.
Size: 2.5cm (one inch) total drop. The orbs are 1cm diameter, not including the side ornamentation.
Weight: 4.5g.
