Stunning Anglo Indian brass bound writing slope, circa 1810
 
Solid amboyna burrwood, camphor wood and ebony writing slope, campaign furniture as good as it gets.
 
The distinct aroma of camphor wood to the interior, good, hard to find, spring loaded panel revealing three secret drawers.
 
Excellent pair of extra large crown top cut glass inkwells,
 
The unusual three latch lock with strong gunsmith spring action, stamp mark G & T Turner.
 
Original tooled leather writing surface, sliding bolts to hold slope surface shut.
 
A tour de force, absolutely no veneer, everything solid.
 
In very good bright sound condition, some insignificant edge knocks to the brass, typical figuring and faults to the natural solid burr-wood.
