Very smart and compelling high quality pair of bronze busts on fine marble plinths, circa 1850
Both with foundry marks to the side, Demosthene named to the front of the truncation.
The bronzes with excellent original patination, dark brown to black.
The marble now with chips and splits over time still looks striking.
Both in very good sound condition.
Height 9,1/2" or 240mm
Combined weight 4072 grams.
