Description

Victorian carved hanging gamebird on a framed panel, circa 1850

Fine detailed carving in high relief, European probably English.

The bird probably carved walnut or similar fine grained timber, the back panel ash and the frame gessoed pine.

All in very good sound condition with chips to the gessoed frame, insignificant wear and re attached foot.

Frame 18,1/2" x 13,1/2" or 470mm x 344mm, weight 2490 grams.
